BLS is designed for prehospital providers and hospital staff working within medical facilities.

The BLS course teaches participants to quickly recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, administer proper ventilations, and use an AED promptly. It's based on the latest scientific findings and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The BLS Course is tailored for healthcare professionals and others who need to learn CPR and other essential cardiovascular life support skills in various medical settings, both in-facility and prehospital.

What will you learn in this course?

  • How to perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • Understanding the AHA Chain of Survival, especially focusing on BLS components.
  • The significance of early AED use.
  • Providing effective ventilations using a barrier device.
  • The importance of teamwork in multirescuer resuscitation and how to be an effective team member during CPR.
  • Techniques for relieving choking in both adults and infants.

First Aid training comes in two methods: blended learning and classroom training. Both options teach the same science-based skills endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) and lead to receiving the same AHA Course Completion Card.
